The Managed Way To Replace Chargify

Zoho Billing can run every subscription, invoice, and renewal you have, once someone builds the plans, connects a gateway, and watches what fails. That part is a job. We handle it on a flat monthly plan: pricing configured the way you actually sell, invoices and tax set up correctly, expired cards chased down before they turn into churn, and revenue numbers that reconcile with your books.

With Cascadia you get

  • Someone watching your charges
  • Dunning tuned, not defaulted
  • Pricing that bills the way you sell
  • Tax handled before it bites
  • Your account, your customers
  • Fewer billing tickets to answer

Where the service earns its keep

A failed renewal is only lost revenue if nobody retries it intelligently, and the default retry schedule was not written for your customers.

Pricing that bills the way you sell

Tiered rates, usage charges, and mid-cycle upgrades are easy to design and hard to configure.

Tax handled before it bites

Sales tax, VAT, and GST rules differ by jurisdiction and by product, and they change without telling you.

Your account, your customers

Everything we build lives inside your own Zoho Billing subscription, under your ownership. If you ever change providers, your plans, customer records, invoices, and workflows stay exactly where they are.

Fewer billing tickets to answer

We set up the customer portal so people update their own payment details, download invoices, and change plans, which takes a steady stream of small requests off your team for good.

Who this comparison is for

Businesses still invoicing by hand

Manual invoicing is slow, easy to get wrong, and it always slips in a busy month.

Zoho One customers not using Billing yet

Zoho One includes Billing, and plenty of companies pay for it while still invoicing somewhere else.

Agencies billing monthly retainers

Retainer invoicing eats hours and rarely looks consistent between accounts.

How our managed Zoho Billing service works

Whether you are starting from an empty Zoho Billing organization or inheriting one somebody else configured, the sequence is the same. We work out how you charge, build the plans and test them against a full cycle, then go live and keep it running afterward.

  1. 1

    We assess your current setup

First we look at how things run today: what you already pay for, what is configured where, and which parts are actually causing you trouble.

  2. 2

We map how you actually charge

If your pricing has a rule nobody ever wrote down, this is where it surfaces, rather than three cycles later.

  3. 3

We build the plans and test a cycle

We build your products, plans, and price books, connect your payment gateway, configure invoice templates and tax, then run a full billing cycle against test customers before a single real charge goes out.

  4. 4

We go live and keep it collecting

From there it stays managed. Failed charges get worked, tax and plan changes get applied, integrations get repaired when an API shifts, and your revenue reporting stays reconciled with your books.

How Chargify works

What Chargify does, in their own words

Chargify no longer sells under its own name. It is now part of Maxio, and the figures below were read in September 2026.

Chargify is now Maxio (September 2026)Their old domain redirects to Maxio branding, and current list pricing is published under Maxio rather than a separate Chargify price sheet.
Grow, $599 a month (September 2026)Covers businesses up to about $100,000 in monthly billings, including recurring billing, usage-based pricing, revenue recognition and collections.
Scale is quotedFor higher billing volumes, adding advanced revenue recognition, accounts receivable management, multi-entity support and metering.
Historic Chargify tiers included overage feesOlder records describe plans at $299 and $599 a month with percentage fees on revenue above the included volume, which is worth knowing if you are comparing old quotes.
Annual payment is the defaultMonthly or quarterly billing is a premium option, and multi-year agreements can reduce the rate.
Implementation is quoted separatelyProfessional services for setup and data migration, plus optional modules, are what move the real total above the published anchor.

See Managed Zoho Billing
Why would I switch from Chargify to Cascadia?

So your pricing bills the way you sell. Tiered rates, usage charges, and mid-cycle upgrades are easy to design and hard to configure. We build your products, plans, price books, and proration rules so the invoice a customer receives matches what your sales team promised, including the awkward cases nobody thought through at the time.

How is this different from hiring a Zoho consultant hourly?

An hourly consultant fits a project with a start and an end. Billing is not that. Cards expire, tax rules shift, gateways change their APIs, and every new pricing idea needs configuration. Each of those becomes a small negotiation when you bill by the hour. A subscription removes the friction: monitoring is continuous, small changes do not need a quote, and we keep context on your setup between requests.

Do you work with Zoho Billing inside Zoho One?

Yes. Zoho Billing is included in Zoho One, and many of our clients reach it that way. The management work is the same either way. If you run several Zoho applications, our Zoho One bundle covers the whole ecosystem rather than one app at a time, which usually costs less once you are managing more than a few apps.

What if we have more than 1,000 active subscriptions?

Tell us and we will quote it. Higher subscription counts usually mean more failed charges to work, more edge cases in proration, and more reporting demand, so the plan scales with the volume. We would rather price that openly than take on more than the standard plan covers and let response times slip.

How long does onboarding take?

Most setups are running within two to four weeks. The first stage covers access, a review of your current pricing and billing state, and gateway connections. The second covers building plans, configuring invoices and tax, and testing a full billing cycle before it touches real customers. Migrations from another platform take longer, and we will say so up front.

Is there a contract or minimum term?

The subscription is monthly with no long-term commitment. You can cancel with notice, and because everything lives in your own Zoho account, you keep every plan, customer record, invoice, and workflow we built. We would rather earn the renewal each month than rely on a contract to keep an unhappy client in place.

How do I get started?

Start with a consultation. We look at how you charge today, what is breaking, and where your billing data lives, then confirm whether the standard plan covers it. From there we take access, connect your gateway, build or repair your plans, and test a cycle end to end. If your requirements are bigger than the subscription, we will say so and quote the project.

What is managed Zoho Billing?

Managed Zoho Billing is an ongoing subscription where we run your Zoho Billing environment for you. That covers plan and pricing setup, subscription changes, invoice and tax configuration, payment gateway connections, dunning and failed payment recovery, and recurring revenue reporting. Instead of assigning billing admin work to someone in finance who already has a job, you have a team inside your setup handling it month to month.

What is included in the monthly plan?

The plan covers 1 billing organization with up to 1,000 active subscriptions. Within that, we handle plan and price book changes, subscription lifecycle work, invoice and tax configuration, gateway monitoring, dunning and recovery workflows, customer portal setup, integration health, and revenue reporting. Larger pieces of work such as migrating from another billing platform or rebuilding your entire pricing model are scoped and quoted as separate projects.

Do I still need my own Zoho Billing license?

Yes. You keep your own Zoho Billing subscription and own the account, the customer records, and every plan and invoice inside it. We work in your environment as an administrator. That matters if you ever change providers, because nothing sits behind our accounts and there is no data to negotiate for. We will also advise on which plan tier fits your subscription volume.
