Webex Messaging alternative
What You Get Instead Of Running Webex Messaging Yourself
Zoho Cliq can carry every conversation your company has, once someone builds the channels, sets the permissions, and connects it to the apps your work already lives in. That part is a job. Our managed Zoho Cliq plan handles it on a flat monthly rate: channels structured so people know where to post, bots that do the repetitive work, integrations that pull CRM and Desk into the chat window, and governance rules that hold up when someone leaves.
With Cascadia you get
- Someone watching who has access
- Channels people can actually find
- API work where connectors stop
- Built around how teams work
- Your account, your history
- User counts watched before billing bites
The short version
Cascadia, compared with Webex Messaging
Most of the value here is subtraction. Channels that have gone quiet get archived, because a long list nobody reads is how people stop opening the app at all.
What you get here

What our team takes on
Channels that have gone quiet get archived, because a long list nobody reads is how people stop opening the app at all.
Your account, your history
If you ever change providers, the channels, message history, bots, and integrations stay exactly where they are. Nothing sits in an agency account, so there is no export to negotiate and no leverage held over you.
User counts watched before billing bites
We track your usage against your current plan and flag a change before a limit blocks a hire or an integration you needed working that week. You stay ahead of the cost rather than reacting to it.
Someone watching who has access
Access drift is rarely dramatic. A contractor gets added to a channel for one project, then stays for two years.
Channels people can actually find
A workspace with two hundred channels is the same as a workspace with none, because nobody can find the right one.
Who this comparison is for
Teams running several Zoho apps at once
When CRM holds the pipeline, Desk holds the tickets, and your team chats somewhere else entirely, the context never travels.
Businesses still running on email threads
Reply-all chains work right up until they do not, and then a decision is buried in a thread nobody was copied on.
Zoho One customers still paying for Slack
Zoho One includes Cliq, and plenty of companies pay for it while paying Slack per user on top. We set Cliq up against the teams you already have and connect it to your CRM, so you stop funding two tools that do the same job.
How our managed Zoho Cliq service works
Whether you are starting from an empty workspace or inheriting one somebody else built, the sequence is the same. We work out how your teams communicate now, build the channel structure and the permissions, then connect the apps and automate the repetitive parts.
- 1
We assess your current setup
First we look at how things run today: what you already pay for, what is configured where, and which parts are actually causing you trouble.
- 2
We map how your teams communicate
We start with a consultation about who talks to whom, what gets decided over email today, and which tools you are hoping to replace.
- 3
We build channels, roles, and connections
Retention and data loss prevention rules go in at this stage too, because retrofitting them onto an active workspace is far harder than starting with them.
- 4
We automate, roll out, and maintain
We build the bots and slash commands, roll Cliq out to everybody, and keep it running from there.
How Webex Messaging works
What Webex Messaging does, in their own words
Webex bundles messaging with meetings and calling rather than selling chat on its own. The figures below were read in September 2026 and sources differ on the top tier.

Webex Messaging alternative questions
Straight answers about switching, pricing, and what moves with you.
See Managed Zoho CliqIs Cascadia a straight swap for Webex Messaging?
Not quite, because we run Zoho Cliq for you inside your own account, so the history stays yours. If you ever change providers, the channels, message history, bots, and integrations stay exactly where they are. Nothing sits in an agency account, so there is no export to negotiate and no leverage held over you.
What happens if we outgrow Zoho One?
Some businesses do, and it is better to hear that now than in year three. Zoho One is built for standard business processes done well. When you need genuinely custom data models, manufacturing depth, complex multi-entity consolidation or software you own outright rather than rent, the ceiling shows.
Do we get reporting across applications?
That is where the suite earns back its cost. Zoho Analytics reads from every application you run, so questions that span apps become answerable. Cost per acquisition needs Campaigns, CRM and Books together. Project profitability needs Projects, People and Books. We build the data sources, the joins and the dashboards for each leadership role, and add new reports as the questions change.
Is there a minimum term, and how do we start?
Management is billed monthly with no long commitment, and everything we build lives in your own Zoho organization, so it stays yours regardless. Start with a consultation. We look at your headcount, the systems you run today, the processes that are costing you time and the condition of your data, then confirm whether the standard plan covers it or whether the work needs its own scope and quote.
What is managed Zoho Cliq?
An ongoing subscription where we run your Cliq workspace. Channel structure, user and guest access, bots and slash commands, the integrations into your other Zoho apps, retention and compliance settings, and the steady administrative drag that grows with headcount. Most companies hand chat administration to whoever is least busy that month. This is the alternative: a team already inside your account, who saw the workspace last week and will see it again next week.
What is included in the monthly plan?
The plan covers up to 100 users and 5 bots or integrations. Within that, we handle channel setup and cleanup, roles and permissions, guest access, bot and command maintenance, integration monitoring, retention and data loss prevention rules, and adoption reviews. Larger pieces of work such as a migration off Slack or a custom API build get scoped and quoted as separate projects, so your monthly cost stays predictable.
Do I still need my own Zoho Cliq license?
Yes. You keep your own Zoho Cliq subscription and own the account, the channels, the history, and everything built inside it. We work in your environment as an administrator. That matters if you ever change providers, because no bots, integrations, or message history sit behind our accounts and there is no export to negotiate. We will also advise on which plan tier fits your user count.
How is Zoho Cliq different from Slack?
Cliq covers the same ground as Slack for channels, calls and integrations, usually at a lower per user cost. The real difference is what sits next to it. Be precise about how close, though. Cliq connects natively to Zoho People, Calendar and Notebook on Standard, adds Zoho Projects at Professional, and reaches CRM, Desk and Books through extensions or the developer platform. Those work well and we build them, but they are a build. If you already run Zoho, that connection is still the argument.
Can you migrate us from Slack or Microsoft Teams?
Yes. We plan the cutover, move the user accounts, import the channel history and files that can be imported, and rebuild the integrations and bots that cannot come across directly. Both tools usually run in parallel for a couple of weeks so nobody loses a conversation mid-project. Migrations run as a scoped project alongside the subscription, because the size varies enormously with how much history and automation you carry.
Does Zoho Cliq connect to Zoho CRM?
Yes, through an extension or the developer platform, not a native toggle. The distinction matters when you are budgeting, because Standard caps you at 10 extensions across the whole organization. Once it is built, a stage change or an approval request posts into the channel that owns it with enough context to act on, and your sales team can look a record up from a slash command without switching tabs. For most of our clients this is still the reason to choose Cliq.
What can Cliq bots actually do?
Bots handle the small repetitive things. The common ones post form submissions into a channel, collect a daily standup, page whoever is on call, or push an alert when a payment fails. We build them against your real process and test with a small group before anyone else sees them. If a bot turns out to be noise, we kill it. Nobody here is attached to their own work.
