AppSheet alternative
A Managed Alternative To AppSheet
Zoho Creator can run the process your business has been holding together in a spreadsheet, once someone builds the forms, writes the logic, and connects it to the systems you already use. That part is a job. Our managed Zoho Creator plan handles it on a flat monthly rate: apps built around how your team actually works, Deluge scripting where the point and click stops, reports your managers will open, and changes made when you ask rather than when a quote comes back.
With Cascadia you get
- Built around your real process
- Deluge where the clicks run out
- Tested before your team sees it
- Field work treated as first class
- Your account, your apps
- Licensing watched before it bites
The short version
Why teams pick Cascadia over AppSheet
First somebody adds a field in a hurry. Then a workflow stops firing and nobody notices, because it failed silently.

What the managed part actually means
The appeal of a low code platform is that anybody can change the app. That is also the problem.
Built around your real process
We start by watching how the work happens today, including the steps people invented because the software would not let them do it properly. The app gets built around that reality instead of a tidy version of it. An app that argues with how your team works gets abandoned inside a quarter, no matter how well it was built.
Deluge where the clicks run out
Low code covers a great deal, and then your requirement lands just past the edge of it. That is where Deluge comes in: calculated fields, cross app logic, custom functions, and the awkward rule that no drag and drop builder anticipated.
Tested before your team sees it
We build and test changes in a development environment, then release them deliberately. Your team keeps working on a version that behaves the way it did yesterday until the new one is genuinely ready.
Field work treated as first class
We configure the mobile layouts properly, set up offline capture for crews with no signal, and wire in scanning, photos, and location stamps. Data gets recorded where the job happens rather than typed up again that evening.
Who this comparison is for
Companies whose process no product fits
Creator lets us build for the actual process instead. You get software shaped to your business at a fraction of what bespoke development normally costs.
Field and site crews capturing data on phones
Inspections, job sheets, deliveries, and site checks still get written on paper and typed up later, which is where the errors and the delays come from.
Zoho One customers not using Creator yet
Meanwhile the gaps between their Zoho apps get filled with spreadsheets. We build those gaps into proper apps using licensing you already own, which is usually the cheapest improvement available to you.
How our managed Zoho Creator service works
Whether you are starting from a blank page or inheriting an app somebody else abandoned, the sequence is the same. We work out how the process runs today, build the app and the logic around it, then connect the systems either side.
- 1
We assess your current setup
First we look at how things run today: what you already pay for, what is configured where, and which parts are actually causing you trouble.
- 2
We map the process you want to run
We start with a consultation about what the process does, who touches it, and where it currently breaks. Then we design the data model: what a record is, how records relate, and what each one has to carry.
- 3
We build the app, the logic, and the reports
Reports and dashboards get built against the questions your managers already ask. You see a working version early and tell us what is wrong with it, which is far more useful than approving a specification.
- 4
We connect, roll out, and maintain
We connect CRM and the rest of your stack, migrate your existing data, then keep it running from there.

AppSheet alternative questions
Straight answers about switching, pricing, and what moves with you.
See Managed Zoho CreatorWhy would I switch from AppSheet to Cascadia?
One reason is that we start from how your team really works. The app gets built around that reality instead of a tidy version of it. An app that argues with how your team works gets abandoned inside a quarter, no matter how well it was built.
What is Deluge and will we be stuck with it?
Deluge is the scripting language inside Creator, used when the point and click actions cannot do what you need. We write it where it is warranted, and we document what each function does and why. The scripts live inside your own Creator account, so if you ever change providers the next developer reads working, commented code rather than reverse engineering a black box.
Who owns the app and the data?
You do. Everything we build lives inside your own Zoho Creator subscription under your ownership. The apps, the data, the scripts, and the reports stay exactly where they are if you ever change providers. Nothing sits in an agency account, so there is no export to negotiate and no leverage held over you. We think that is the only honest way to run this.
How is this different from hiring a Creator developer hourly?
An hourly developer finishes the build and moves on. Every later change means a fresh quote and a wait, which quietly trains your team to stop asking, and the app slowly drifts from how the business actually works. A subscription puts changes inside the service, so requests get made and the app keeps up. It also puts the incentive on us to keep it running well.
What happens when we outgrow the app or need a second one?
Growth is normal and we plan for it. The plan covers three apps, so a second and third process can move onto Creator without a new agreement. When record volumes or user counts approach a tier limit, we flag it and price the options before a cap interrupts anyone. If a process genuinely belongs in a different Zoho app, we will say so rather than forcing it into Creator.
Should we get the Zoho One bundle instead?
If Creator is the only Zoho app you run, the standalone plan is the right fit. Once you are managing three or more apps, our Zoho One bundle covers all of them for less than the separate plans stacked together, and Creator is included in the Zoho One license itself. We look at what you actually run and tell you which side of that line you are on.
What is managed Zoho Creator?
Managed Zoho Creator is an ongoing service that handles the design, building, and upkeep of the custom applications you run on the Creator platform. That covers forms and data models, workflow rules and Deluge scripting, reports and dashboards, portals and mobile access, integrations with your other systems, and the permissions around all of it. Instead of hiring a developer for each change, the work runs on a flat monthly plan.
What is Zoho Creator actually used for?
Creator is a low code platform for building the applications your business needs but cannot buy. Common examples are job and work order tracking, inspections, inventory, field service, permit and compliance logging, equipment records, and any process currently held together by a shared spreadsheet. If your work has a repeatable structure and no product on the market fits it, that is the case Creator was built for.
Do you build the app or do we?
We build it. You describe the process, the records you need to track, who does what, and what you need to see at the end. We handle the data model, forms, workflows, scripting, reports, and permissions, then walk your team through it. If you have people who want to make their own changes later, we set the app up so that is safe to do and show them where the edges are.
What does the plan cover and what gets quoted separately?
The monthly plan covers up to 20 users and 3 custom apps, including ongoing changes, new forms and reports, workflow adjustments, permission updates, integration monitoring, and support requests. Large new builds, bulk data migrations from a legacy system, and heavy custom API development get scoped separately so your monthly cost stays predictable and you always know what a big project will run before it starts.
