Bubble alternative
A Bubble Alternative That Runs On A Flat Fee Instead Of A Workload Meter
Bubble starts at sixty nine dollars a month and it is a genuinely powerful platform, which we are not going to argue with. What it counts is workload, meaning the server resources your application consumes every time somebody uses it, so an application built inefficiently costs more to run every month for as long as it keeps running. Managed Zoho Creator is seven hundred a month, one tier, with nothing metered behind it.
With Cascadia you get
- Built around your real process
- Deluge where the clicks run out
- Tested before your team sees it
- Field work treated as first class
- Your account, your apps
- Licensing watched before it bites
The short version
Why teams pick Cascadia over Bubble
We are for the case where nobody has time to own how the process works. Where that person exists and has the hours, Bubble at sixty nine dollars is the better buy and we will tell you so.
What you get here
- The data model, the forms and the views designed around your process before anybody enters a record
- Approval routing, notifications and scheduled jobs built to match how the work actually moves
- Somebody revisiting the tables, the permissions and the automations each month as the business changes
- Role based access set up so each person sees the records they should and nothing beyond them
- A named person who already knows your data model and picks up change requests within two business days
- One application built properly once, not five overlapping apps nobody has ever reconciled
- One monthly figure that does not move when the application gets busier
- The wiring into your CRM, your invoices and your projects done as part of the service
What ships in the standard plan here
A powerful platform that will run whatever somebody creates in it, billed by how much server work that creation turns out to need, with the creating itself left to whoever on your team can find the hours.

- Being told plainly that a spreadsheet still covers it while the process stays simple
- Reporting built into the application rather than exported to a spreadsheet somebody maintains by hand
Where the platform price stops being the number that matters
Zoho Creator fitted to the way your business already works, with the data model, the routing, the permissions and the reporting all ours to build and ours to maintain, under a single published number.
One tier, so there is no plan above this one to be sold to you later
Seven hundred a month is the whole of it. There is nothing above it we can move you onto and nothing held back on a tier you have not bought.
The people who built your application are the people who answer about it later
You are not routed to a support queue that has never seen your application, and there is no account manager or technical success manager waiting behind an Enterprise contract before anybody senior looks at it.
One suite, when the customer record and the application already live together
Zoho Creator sits alongside CRM, Books, Projects and the rest of the suite, so the application you run and the customer record it reads from are one system rather than two kept in step by hand.
Who this comparison is for
The meter counts server work, so the bill moves with how the application was built
Workload units measure the server resources an application consumes as people use it.
One person can be in the editor until you reach two hundred and forty nine a month
Starter includes a single app editor. A second arrives on Growth at two hundred and forty nine dollars a month and a fifth on Team at six hundred and forty nine.
Asked who builds it, the answer is you, and no support tier changes that
Bubble describes itself as a no code platform for building web and mobile applications, and that is exactly what it sells. Support on every paid plan is the academy, the community forum and the support center.
How switching works
- 1
Nothing gets built until we have followed the real process end to end
We sit with whoever does the work and whoever reports on it afterward, and we write down what actually happens rather than what the process document assumed was happening.
- 2
Existing spreadsheets and apps move across and get checked before anybody works in them
The live spreadsheets, the existing applications, the records people actually rely on and the history behind them.
- 3
The data model and the approval rules get built for your business rather than left at defaults
A default table produces a database nobody can report on.
- 4
You run a full month on it, including a real busy stretch and a real set of reports
The first month of live use runs with us alongside it. Whatever routes wrong in the first busy week gets fixed while everybody still remembers the record behind it.

Bubble alternative questions
Straight answers about switching, pricing, and what moves with you.
See Managed Zoho CreatorWhat is a Bubble alternative?
Anything that lets you build a working internal application without being Bubble. On this hub that means Airtable, Quickbase, Caspio, Knack, Softr and Zoho Creator. The useful question is not which platform has the longer feature list, because at this end of the market they will all hold your data and put a form in front of it. It is who builds the thing, who owns it afterward, and what the whole arrangement actually costs.
How is Cascadia different from Bubble?
Bubble sells a platform and the hosting for whatever you make in it. We sell the work. The seven hundred covers the tables, the forms, the approval routing, the permissions, the reporting and the integrations, and the people who built it are the people who answer when you call. Bubble has no equivalent at any tier, because it is not what they sell. Enterprise adds an account manager and a technical success manager, which is a different job from building the thing.
Is Bubble cheaper than this?
At Starter and Growth, plainly yes, and we are not going to dress it up as anything else. Team at six hundred and forty nine is within fifty one dollars of us, and an application on Team that runs a hundred and seventy thousand workload units past its allowance has already crossed our figure. What the two are not is the same purchase, because only one of them has somebody’s time inside it. If the process is simple and somebody will own it, the cheap answer is also the right one.
What is not included in the seven hundred?
Your Zoho licenses, which Zoho bills to you directly at their published rates, and the work of deciding what your business rules ought to be, which stays with the people who run the process. Everything involved in turning those rules into a working application and keeping it working is inside the figure.
Why not just use Bubble and build it ourselves?
If the process is simple and somebody is willing to own it, do exactly that. There is a free plan to build on, though you need a paid one to put anything live, and Starter is sixty nine dollars a month, so it is a cheap experiment and a sensible one. The reason people stop is not that Bubble failed them. It is that the person who built it moved on, and nobody inherited it.
Should we buy this at all?
Often not, and finding that out now is far cheaper than finding it out in month four. If the process fits in a spreadsheet and everybody already knows how it works, seven hundred a month of application management is a solution looking for a problem. We would rather say so on the first call.
Do we have to migrate everything at once?
No. The live records, the tables people use every week and the reports built on them move first, because those are what the team is actually working from. Historical data follows once the live process is settled. Splitting it that way means nobody waits on a full migration before they can get on with the work.
Does anything break while you take over?
Nobody stops working and nothing goes dark. Your existing Bubble applications stay exactly where they are until the new application has run a full month with nothing falling through it. Cutting over is a decision you make once you have watched it work, not a date we impose on you.
What if we already run Bubble and want to move?
It is a common route here and the records export cleanly enough. Where it gets fiddly is deciding which of the existing tables and fields are worth carrying over, because most businesses accumulate a few nobody remembers creating. We work that out before anybody commits to anything, so the tidying up is known rather than discovered.
Do you own the system or the data?
No to both, and the arrangement is deliberately dull. The Zoho account is in your name, the application and every record in it are yours, and if you stop working with us you keep the lot and carry on. Nothing about leaving is designed to be awkward.
What exactly is included?
One flat figure with nothing metered behind it. Seven hundred a month covers the data model, the forms and views, the approval routing, the scheduled jobs, the permissions, the reporting, and the integrations with the rest of your Zoho apps.
Do you guarantee the implementation will go to plan?
No, and be wary of anybody who does. A migration meets spreadsheets nobody has looked at properly in years, and a first month of live use usually turns up two kinds of exception the business had never named. What we will commit to is that those surprises are ours to absorb rather than yours to be invoiced for.
What does the monthly report actually contain?
What moved through the application, what is stuck and where, and what took longest, alongside anything we changed in the rules and anything odd enough to be worth mentioning. It is a page rather than a deck, and it is written so somebody who never opens the application can still tell how the work is moving.
How long before we see a difference?
Four to eight weeks to a full month running cleanly in most cases, and longer where years of ad hoc spreadsheets and field names have to be sorted out first. The honest variable is not our speed, it is how quickly somebody can tell us what ought to happen in a case nobody has named before.
What if we want to leave?
Thirty days’ notice ends it and nothing is stranded. The Zoho account stays in your name, the application and its data stay exactly as they are, and the documentation comes with you. There is no exit fee and no data to pry out of us, because it was never ours to hold.
