Gorgias alternative

A Managed Alternative To Gorgias

Gorgias charges by ticket volume and leaves the help desk setup to you. With us, support runs on Zoho Desk, configured and looked after on a flat monthly rate: every channel feeding one queue, response targets agents can see, and escalations that fire before a customer has to chase you. After launch we keep adjusting it based on what your ticket data shows.

With Cascadia you get

  • We tune the automation
  • SLAs that mean something
  • We read the ticket data
  • Built around your actual queue
  • Your account, your configuration
  • Context from the rest of Zoho

The short version

Why teams pick Cascadia over Gorgias

A help desk rarely fails loudly. The warning sign is agents building private views so they can avoid the main queue.

What our team takes on

The setup is only the start. These are the parts we keep doing month after month.

Your account, your configuration

Workflows, SLA policies, the help center, articles and ticket history all stay in your own account. If you switch providers, nothing needs exporting, and nobody has leverage over your data.

Context from the rest of Zoho

Without CRM context, agents guess at who they are talking to. We connect Desk to Zoho CRM and your other Zoho apps so account, contact and deal details show inside the ticket.

We tune the automation

Every month we read your ticket data to see which rules earn their place, and switch off the ones firing so often that your team stopped reading the alerts.

SLAs that mean something

An unmeasured response target is decoration. Once it slips with no consequence, the team learns to ignore it, so we track every target and escalate before one is missed.

Who this comparison is for

Businesses with real service commitments

A response time written into a contract has to be provable, and that means measuring it.

Teams answering the same question weekly

When the same question lands for the hundredth time, the fix is self-service, not another reply.

Support teams outgrowing a shared inbox

A shared mailbox holds up until two people answer the same message while a third waits a week. A ticket gives each request an owner, a status and a clock, so nothing relies on someone remembering to flag it. It also leaves a record of who handled what, which you will want the first time a customer disputes something.

How our managed Zoho Desk service works

Leaving a shared inbox or rescuing a Desk setup your agents avoid, the approach is the same. We find where requests go missing, build the routing and rules that stop it, then let the data show what to fix next.

  1. 1

    We assess your current setup

It starts with a review of today: what you pay for, how things are configured, and which parts give you trouble.

  2. 2

We map where requests get lost

Within about an hour it is usually clear how far the real process has drifted from the designed one, and that gap sets the build order.

  3. 3

We build the queue, rules, and help center

We set up the queue, routing rules and help center. You review all of it before launch, since your team needs to recognize the language.

  4. 4

We roll out, measure, and adjust

From then on, each month we go through response and resolution data, find the issue types eating the most hours, and deal with them.

How Gorgias works

What Gorgias does, in their own words

Gorgias is a help desk for ecommerce, priced by ticket volume instead of by agent. The figures below were read in September 2026.

Starter, $10 a month for 50 tickets (September 2026)Includes a shared inbox and basic reporting. Every tier allows unlimited users.
Basic, $60 a month or $50 annually for 300 tickets (September 2026)Adds an omnichannel inbox, core integrations and basic automation rules.
Pro, $360 a month or $300 annually for 2,000 tickets (September 2026)Brings advanced workflows and deeper reporting.
Advanced, $900 a month or $750 annually for 5,000 tickets (September 2026)Adds a dedicated email server and priority support. Enterprise is quoted above this tier.
Overages apply once you pass the limitReported at about $0.40 per ticket on lower tiers and $0.36 on higher ones, so a busy month can cost more than the plan itself.
The AI agent is billed per resolutionRoughly $1.00 per resolved conversation, or $0.90 on an annual contract, charged separately from the plan.

Gorgias alternative questions

Questions we hear from teams thinking about leaving Gorgias.

See Managed Zoho Desk
Why would I switch from Gorgias to Cascadia?

Gorgias bills by ticket and leaves the running of the help desk to you. We run Zoho Desk for you on a flat monthly rate, and the configuration lives in your own account, so workflows, SLA policies, help center, articles and ticket history stay put if you ever change providers. There is no export to negotiate.

What is Zoho Desk used for?

Zoho Desk is customer service software. It pulls requests from email, web forms, phone, chat, social and WhatsApp into one ticket queue, sends each to the right agent, tracks response and resolution times against your targets, and offers a self-service help center where customers can answer common questions themselves. Support teams, IT service desks and internal operations teams all use it this way.

How does Zoho Desk compare to Zendesk?

Zendesk has been around longer and has a bigger app marketplace. Zoho Desk costs much less per agent and connects natively to the rest of Zoho, which counts for a lot when your CRM, books and projects are already there. If you do not use Zoho, that edge goes away and it comes down to price and features. If Desk is the wrong fit for you, we will say so.

Can you migrate us from Zendesk or Freshdesk?

Yes. Tickets, contacts, organizations, knowledge base articles and history all move, and the field mapping is agreed before import so problems do not surface afterward. Moving from a shared inbox or spreadsheet works as well, though it takes more decisions about what to bring. Large migrations are scoped apart from the monthly plan.

How long does a Zoho Desk implementation take?

A simple setup with two or three channels, basic SLAs and a small knowledge base usually goes live in two to four weeks. A migration from another help desk, telephony integration or blueprints for complex cases add time. We build in stages, so your team starts taking tickets in Desk early instead of waiting for everything to be finished.

Do you set up SLAs and escalation rules?

Yes, and we keep tuning them after launch, the step most setups skip. Response and resolution targets are set per customer tier, channel or priority, tied to your real business hours and holiday calendar, with multi-level escalations that alert a supervisor before a target is missed. Rules that fire constantly get their root cause fixed, so nobody learns to ignore the alerts.

Can Zoho Desk integrate with Zoho CRM?

Yes, and that is one of the best reasons to pick Desk. Agents see account, contact and deal details inside the ticket, and sales can see open support issues before calling a customer. We set up the sync, decide which records flow which way, and keep the field mapping current as both sides change. Books, Projects, Inventory and Analytics work the same way.

What channels can Zoho Desk handle?

Email, web forms, live chat, telephony, social media and WhatsApp all land in the same ticket queue. We connect each channel, set up its routing, and make sure none of them feeds a place nobody checks. That matters more than it sounds: forgotten channels are the most common fault we find in help desks that were set up once and left alone.

Do you write our knowledge base articles?

Yes. We look at the questions your tickets keep raising, write the articles that would have answered them, and review the library on a schedule so it keeps up as your product changes. Writing is the part most self-service projects underestimate and drop, which is why so many help centers still hold the nine articles written at launch.
