A Dashlane Alternative for Companies That Want the Price in Writing

Dashlane will not publish a business price. Both business products render a placeholder where the per user figure belongs, and Enterprise is quoted on request. We charge three hundred dollars a month for the whole organization and run Zoho Vault inside it.

With Cascadia you get

  • Migration is included, not extra
  • Your team trained, not locked out
  • We will say when Vault is wrong
  • Access designed before anything imports
  • Your account, your data
  • Connected to the rest of Zoho

The short version

Why teams pick Cascadia over Dashlane

We are here for the company that bought a capable password manager, rolled it out in a fortnight, and then discovered that nobody owns the list of who can see what.

What you get here

  • A published monthly figure you can put in a budget before you speak to anybody
  • One purchase covering the vault and the running of it, rather than two product lines
  • The collection structure is decided for your team by somebody who has met them
  • The fee attaches to the organization, so a month of hiring does not change the invoice
  • The person who designed the access model is the person who maintains it afterward
  • A leaver runs as a rehearsed procedure, with every shared credential rotated on a schedule
  • Recovery and emergency access agreed in advance, and written down somewhere you can find it
  • The credential sits in the same estate as the customer record it belongs to

What ships in the standard plan here

A product your people will like, a price you have to ask for, and an admin console that becomes somebody’s Friday afternoon.

  • A straight recommendation to buy elsewhere when your own admin already covers this
  • Policy and two step enforcement configured on your behalf, then reviewed with you each quarter

Where the purchase stops and the upkeep begins

One number, one named person, and a structure that gets revisited every time your team changes shape.

One organization fee, published, and it does not move when you hire

Vault setup and user provisioning, migration off whatever you use now, the collection structure, the sharing rules, the joiner and leaver run book, a quarterly review of who still holds what, and the license staying in your own name.

Below some headcount their price beats ours, and we cannot tell you where

Dashlane bills per user per month. We bill per organization. There is a headcount where those two lines cross, and below it Dashlane is cheaper, which covers most small teams.

The decision and the person who made it stay in one place

The same named person who worked out which collections should exist, and who may open one, is the person who answers when a contractor leaves eight months later.

The credential lands where the record already lives

Zoho Vault sits in the same estate as CRM, Desk, Projects and Books. The client login and the client record are in one place under one administration.

Who this comparison is for

The vault and the risk detection are two products, not two tiers

Password Management carries the vault, sharing, autofill, password health, single sign on and SCIM. Credential Protection carries risk detection, phishing alerts and the SOAR and IGA hooks.

The figure is a placeholder on the page and a conversation on the phone

Both business products show two dashes where the per user price should be, above the words billed annually. Enterprise reads Custom, with volume optimized pricing.

The support is genuinely good, and support is not administration

Email seven days a week, live chat, phone support, onboarding help and a customer success manager sit against both business products in Dashlane’s own table.

How switching works

  1. 1

Nothing moves until we have seen how your team actually passes credentials around

We start with what is really happening. The shared inbox, the note in the project tool, the login one person keeps because they set it up in twenty nineteen.

  2. 2

Every shared login, every standing permission, and the accounts nobody will admit to owning

We count them. The ones in daily use, the ones opened for a project that finished, the vendor portals attached to somebody’s personal email, and the handful still working under a name that left.

  3. 3

The structure, the sharing rules and the recovery position are agreed and written down

Which collections exist, who may create one, what a contractor gets and for how long, what happens when the person holding the master credential is unreachable.

  4. 4

You run a real month on it, including at least one genuine joiner and one leaver

The first month runs with us alongside it.

See Managed Zoho Vault
How does Dashlane compare to the other password managers on this hub?

Dashlane is the most capable product of the four and the only one that publishes no business price at all. Bitwarden lists both business tiers openly, 1Password lists a flat starter pack and a per user business rate, and LastPass renders its figures in a way we could not fetch. Dashlane shows a placeholder on both business products and quotes Enterprise on request.

Is Dashlane one product or two?

Two. Password Management holds the vault, sharing, autofill, password health, single sign on and SCIM. Credential Protection holds risk detection, phishing alerts, risk insights and the SOAR and IGA integrations. Dashlane’s own comparison marks the vault as excluded from Credential Protection and risk detection as excluded from Password Management. They are separately billed products rather than two tiers of one.

Which Dashlane capabilities are genuinely ahead of Zoho Vault?

Passkeys stored in secure enclaves rather than on the device, autofill running a local machine learning model, credential risk detection covering accounts outside single sign on, browser level phishing detection, and hooks into SIEM, SOAR and IGA tooling. Zoho Vault has none of that. On product capability alone this is not a close comparison.

What is not on any vendor’s feature list?

Who decides what a collection is for and who may create one. Who notices that a project vault opened last spring still has a contractor sitting in it. Who rotates the shared logins when somebody leaves on a Friday afternoon. Every vendor on this hub sells you the ability to do those things. None of them does them.

We already pay for Dashlane. Why would we pay you three hundred as well?

Often you should not, and we say so on the first call more than we would like to. If somebody in your business owns the console, prunes the collections and works the leaver list, you already have what we sell. The three hundred is for businesses where that person does not exist and everybody has quietly assumed somebody else is doing it.

At what headcount does Dashlane become more expensive than you?

There will be a crossover, because they bill per user per month and we bill per organization. We cannot calculate where it falls, because Dashlane publishes no per user figure. Get their quote, multiply it by your headcount, and hold the result against three hundred. If they come in lower and you have an administrator, buy Dashlane.

Does Dashlane support partners and resellers?

Yes. They run a Partner Program with Core, Preferred and Strategic tiers, a partner portal, deal registration and an AWS Marketplace listing. Three of the four vendors on this hub now run something similar. Nobody should tell you these vendors expect you to manage entirely alone.

What support does Dashlane include?

Their own table lists email support seven days a week, live chat, phone support, onboarding help and a customer success manager against both business products. That is more than most vendors on this hub include, and it is worth stating plainly because comparison pages usually pretend otherwise.

Is Dashlane a better password manager than Zoho Vault?

Taken on its own, as a password manager and nothing else, yes. We have not found a serious argument to the contrary and we are not going to build one. Zoho Vault gets chosen for where it sits rather than for what it does, which is the next question.

Does Zoho Vault connect to the rest of Zoho?

That is the reason to choose it. Vault sits alongside CRM, Desk, Projects and Books under one administration, so a login and the customer record it belongs to live in the same estate. If you are not running Zoho, this argument does not apply to you and Dashlane is the better buy.

What exactly do you do for three hundred a month?

We set up the vault and provision your users, migrate you off whatever you use now, design the collection structure and the sharing rules, write and run the joiner and leaver procedure, enforce policy and two step verification, and review who still holds what every quarter. One figure for the organization, month to month.

Who holds the Zoho Vault license, you or us?

You do, and that is deliberate. The Vault subscription is bought in your name and billed to you by Zoho. If you stop working with us you keep the vault, the data and the administration. Assist is the only service where we carry the license ourselves.

Can you move us off Dashlane?

Yes. Dashlane supports export, so moving the data across is straightforward. The export is not the work. Deciding what the structure should be on the other side is the work, rather than importing the same undocumented sprawl into a new tool and calling it a migration.

Is there a minimum term?

No. Three hundred a month, month to month, thirty days’ notice. No setup fee and no annual prepayment. If the first sixty days have not convinced you, leaving costs you one month.

What happens if we outgrow Zoho?

Some businesses do. Once what you are running is manufacturing, stock across several locations, or a chart of accounts that has stopped fitting, the answer stops being Zoho. We would rather say that early than sell you a system you will have to leave in two years.
