Looker Studio alternative

What You Get Instead Of Running Looker Studio Yourself

Zoho Analytics can answer almost any question about your business, once someone connects the data, builds the reports, and keeps the syncs running. That part is a job. We handle it on a flat monthly plan: dashboards designed around the decisions you actually make, data sources connected and monitored, reports delivered on schedule, and sync failures fixed before you notice them. You get reporting you can trust, without hiring an analyst to babysit it.

With Cascadia you get

  • Someone watching your syncs
  • One definition per metric
  • SQL where the builder stops
  • Built around the decision
  • Your account, your data
  • Usage watched before billing bites

The short version

Where a managed service beats running Looker Studio alone

Two reports disagreeing about revenue is not a software problem. It is two people having defined revenue differently, eighteen months apart, with nobody writing either definition down.

Where we go further

Zoho Analytics will render both without complaint. What it will not do is tell you which one is right, notice when a sync stopped feeding one of them, or keep either current as the business changes shape.

Someone watching your syncs

A broken connection does not announce itself. It just stops updating, and the dashboard keeps showing last week’s numbers as if nothing happened.

One definition per metric

Sales counts revenue at close, finance counts it at invoice, and each side is certain the other is wrong. We pin down how every metric is calculated, build it that way once, and reuse it, so the number on one dashboard matches the next.

SQL where the builder stops

The drag-and-drop editor covers straightforward questions well. The valuable ones tend to need multi-step logic, custom calculations, or aggregation the visual tools cannot express.

Built around the decision

A dashboard carrying every available chart is a report nobody opens. We start from the decision you are trying to make, build only what informs it, and lay it out so the number that matters reads first. Supporting detail stays one click away rather than competing for attention.

Who this comparison is for

Businesses still reporting from spreadsheets

Manual exports are slow, easy to get wrong, and out of date the moment they are sent.

Zoho One customers not using Analytics yet

Zoho One includes Analytics, and plenty of companies pay for it without ever switching it on. We set it up against the apps you already run and build your first dashboards, so you get value from a license you are funding either way.

Agencies reporting results to clients

Client reporting eats hours and rarely looks consistent between accounts.

How our managed Zoho Analytics service works

Whether you are starting from an empty workspace or inheriting one somebody else built, the sequence is the same. We work out what you need to measure, get the data connected and verified, then build the reporting and keep it running afterward.

  1. 1

    We assess your current setup

First we look at how things run today: what you already pay for, what is configured where, and which parts are actually causing you trouble.

  2. 2

We scope what you need to measure

We start with a consultation about the decisions you are trying to make and the questions that keep coming back around.

  3. 3

We connect and verify your data

We connect your priority sources, set sync schedules that match how quickly each one changes, and reconcile the imported data against the source system before anything gets built on top of it.

  4. 4

We build, deliver, and keep it running

We build the dashboards and reports, schedule delivery for the people who will never log in to check, and hand over access with permissions already sorted.

How Looker Studio works

What Looker Studio does, in their own words

Looker Studio is Google dashboarding tool, free at its core. The figures below were read in September 2026.

The core product is free (September 2026)Unlimited reports, a large connector library and sharing, with no time limit on the free tier.
Pro, $9 per user a month (September 2026)Adds team content management, priority support and enterprise controls. Annual billing is reported at the same rate, about $108 a user a year.
Third-party connectors are the real costPaid connectors for non-Google sources are commonly quoted between $20 and $350 a month each, which is where dashboard budgets actually go.
Looker is a different productFull Looker, the enterprise platform, is quoted separately and reported in the thousands per month, so do not confuse the two when comparing.
Free does not mean unlimitedReports note branding, support limits and restricted API access on the free tier.
A dashboard is not an answerSomeone still has to decide which numbers matter, keep the sources connected and explain what changed.

Taken from Looker Studio plans and hidden costs, Looker Studio connector costs. Checked September 2026.

Looker Studio alternative questions

Straight answers about switching, pricing, and what moves with you.

See Managed Zoho Analytics
Why would I switch from Looker Studio to Cascadia?

One reason is that someone watches your data syncs. A broken connection does not announce itself. It just stops updating, and the dashboard keeps showing last week’s numbers as if nothing happened.

What happens when a data sync fails?

We monitor sync status and act on failures rather than waiting for you to notice a stale dashboard. Most breaks come from expired credentials, permission changes in the source system, or an API update on the vendor side. We reconnect, backfill anything missed, and confirm the numbers reconcile. If the cause sits somewhere we cannot reach, such as a locked account, we tell you exactly what needs changing.

Can you build dashboards from scratch?

Yes, and that is usually where we start. We talk through the decisions you are trying to make, check whether your data actually supports answering them, then build the reports and lay them out so the important numbers read first. Initial builds within your dashboard allowance are part of the subscription. A large first-time reporting buildout for a complex organization may be quoted as a project.

How is this different from hiring a Zoho consultant hourly?

An hourly consultant is a good fit for a defined project with a start and an end. Reporting is not that. Data sources break, definitions change, and new questions arrive constantly, and each one becomes a small negotiation when you are billing by the hour. A subscription removes that friction: the monitoring is continuous, the small fixes do not need a quote, and we retain context about your setup between requests.

What if I need more than 10 dashboards or 5 data sources?

Tell us and we will look at whether the extra items are genuinely needed or whether existing reports can be consolidated. Plenty of workspaces carry duplicate dashboards nobody opens. If the additional scope is real, we will quote either a higher tier or a scoped project for the buildout. We would rather have that conversation than quietly let service quality slip.

Do you work with Zoho Analytics inside Zoho One?

Yes. Zoho Analytics is included in Zoho One, and many of our clients reach it that way. The management work is the same either way. If you run several Zoho applications, our Zoho One bundle covers the whole ecosystem rather than one app at a time, which usually works out better once you are managing more than a couple of apps.

Can you connect Zoho Analytics to systems outside Zoho?

Yes, and most useful reporting depends on it. Revenue in one system and marketing spend in another only becomes a meaningful number when they sit on the same chart. We connect outside platforms through the native connectors where they exist, and through APIs, database connections, or scheduled file imports where they do not.

How long does onboarding take?

Most setups are running within two weeks. The first week covers access, a review of your existing workspace, and connecting your priority data sources. The second covers building or repairing the dashboards you need first. Larger environments with many sources or a messy existing workspace take longer, and we will tell you that up front rather than partway through.

Do you provide training for my team?

We include practical guidance as part of the service, such as showing people how to read a dashboard, filter it, and export what they need. That covers most teams, because most people consume reports rather than build them. If you want your staff trained to build their own reports and query tables, we can run that as a scoped session.

Is there a contract or minimum term?

The subscription is monthly with no long-term commitment. You can cancel with notice, and because everything lives in your own Zoho account, you keep every dashboard, report, and connection we built. We would rather earn the renewal each month than rely on a contract to hold an unhappy client in place.

Can you fix a Zoho Analytics setup someone else built?

Yes, and this is a common starting point. We audit the existing workspace, trace where numbers disagree with the source systems, and identify broken joins, duplicated imports, and abandoned reports. Sometimes the fix is repair work and sometimes it is faster to rebuild a section cleanly. We will tell you which, with reasoning, before doing either.
