Squarespace Commerce alternative

A Managed Alternative To Squarespace Commerce

Zoho Commerce can run your entire online store, once someone builds the storefront, structures the catalog, and connects it to the accounting and inventory your business already runs on. That part is a job. Our managed Zoho Commerce plan handles it on a flat monthly rate: a storefront built around your products, a catalog shoppers can search, payments and shipping configured properly, and orders flowing into Zoho Books and Inventory without anybody rekeying them.

With Cascadia you get

  • Stock that matches the shelf
  • Catalogs people can actually search
  • API work where connectors stop
  • Built around how you sell
  • Your store, your order history
  • Order volume watched before fees bite

What our team takes on

Payment methods are tested rather than assumed to be working, since a gateway that stopped authorizing raises no error you would ever see.

API work where connectors stop

The awkward cases need more: a feed from a supplier catalog Zoho has never heard of, a pricing rule the platform does not support, or an order pushed into an ERP the moment it ships.

Built around how you sell

A store that fights your fulfillment process is a store your team works around, and then the orders live in a spreadsheet again.

Your store, your order history

If you ever change providers, the storefront, catalog, customer list, and order history stay exactly where they are. Nothing sits in an agency account, so there is no export to negotiate and no leverage held over you.

Order volume watched before fees bite

We track your usage against your current plan and flag a change before a limit turns away an order during your busiest week. You stay ahead of the cost rather than reacting to it.

Who this comparison is for

Zoho One customers still paying for Shopify

Zoho One includes Commerce, and plenty of companies pay Shopify every month while already funding it.

Wholesale and B2B sellers with tiered pricing

We configure customer groups, price lists, and the checkout rules that go with them, so your B2B buyers see their pricing and your retail shoppers see yours.

Businesses already running Zoho Books or Inventory

When Books holds the invoices, Inventory holds the stock, and your store sits on a separate platform, somebody reconciles the difference every month.

How our managed Zoho Commerce service works

Whether you are starting with no store at all or migrating one somebody else built, the sequence is the same. We work out what you sell and how you fulfill it, build the storefront and the catalog, then connect payments, shipping, and your Zoho back office.

  1. 1

    We assess your current setup

First we look at how things run today: what you already pay for, what is configured where, and which parts are actually causing you trouble.

  2. 2

We map what you sell and ship

We start with a consultation about your product range, how you price it, who you sell to, and what happens after an order is placed.

  3. 3

We build the storefront and the catalog

Books, Inventory, and CRM get connected at this stage too, because retrofitting accounting onto a live store is far harder than starting with it.

  4. 4

    We launch, monitor, and maintain

We run live test orders, take the store public, and keep it running from there.

How Squarespace Commerce works

What Squarespace Commerce does, in their own words

Squarespace restructured its plans during 2025 and 2026. The figures below were read in September 2026 and reflect the current four-tier lineup.

Basic, $16 a month annually or $25 monthly (September 2026)Replaces the old Personal plan. Selling is included, but a 2 percent transaction fee applies on commerce sales, and 7 percent on digital products.
Core, $23 a month annually or $36 monthly (September 2026)Replaces Business. Removes the store transaction fee, with digital products around 5 percent.
Plus, $39 a month annually or $56 monthly (September 2026)Replaces Commerce Basic, and is only available where Squarespace Payments is supported.
Advanced, $99 a month annually or $139 monthly (September 2026)Replaces Commerce Advanced, removing the digital product fee and adding abandoned cart recovery and advanced shipping.
Monthly billing costs 25 to 40 percent moreAcross a year, staying month to month is a material premium on every tier.
The new plans are not like-for-like swapsAnalyzes note Core is not simply Business renamed, which is why renewal comparisons catch owners off guard.

Squarespace Commerce alternative questions

Straight answers about switching, pricing, and what moves with you.

See Managed Zoho Commerce
What does Cascadia do that Squarespace Commerce leaves to me?

We handle the API work where the standard connectors stop. The awkward cases need more: a feed from a supplier catalog Zoho has never heard of, a pricing rule the platform does not support, or an order pushed into an ERP the moment it ships. We build those with the Commerce API and Deluge, so an unusual requirement does not turn into a permanent spreadsheet.

Can you migrate my store from Shopify or WooCommerce?

Yes. We move products, variants, images, customers, and order history, then map your existing URLs to the new structure and put redirects in place before the old store goes offline. That last step is what protects the search rankings you already have, and it is the one most migrations skip. Larger migrations get scoped separately so your monthly cost stays predictable.

Does Zoho Commerce connect to Zoho Books and Inventory?

Yes, and this is the main reason to choose it. Orders post to Zoho Books as invoices and to Zoho Inventory as stock movements, so your storefront, your accounting, and your stock counts stay in step. We configure the mapping, including tax codes and item matching, because the default connection rarely lines up with how a real business has its chart of accounts arranged.

Can Zoho Commerce sync with Zoho CRM?

Yes. Customers and orders flow into CRM so your sales team sees purchase history alongside the pipeline, and Campaigns can segment on what someone actually bought rather than what they browsed. We set up the field mapping and the deduplication rules, so you do not end up with three contact records for the same buyer and a segment that double counts them.

Which payment gateways can I use?

Zoho Commerce supports the major gateways including Stripe, PayPal, and Authorize.Net, plus several regional providers, and the list available to you depends on where your business is registered. We connect the ones you want, run live test transactions, and confirm refunds work before launch. If you need a gateway Zoho does not support natively, we look at whether the API can bridge it.

Can you customize the checkout?

Within what the platform allows, yes. We trim the fields to what you actually need, enable guest checkout, add custom fields your fulfillment process depends on, and cut the number of steps between cart and payment. Zoho Commerce does not offer unlimited checkout templating, so we will be straight with you about where the limit sits before you plan a process around it.

Do I own the store and the Zoho account?

Yes. Everything we build lives inside your own Zoho account, under your ownership. If you ever change providers, the store, the catalog, the order history, and the integrations stay exactly where they are. Nothing sits in an agency account, so there is no export to negotiate, no credentials to chase, and no leverage held over you.

What happens if I go over 1,000 products or 3 sales channels?

We flag it before it becomes a problem and quote the change, rather than letting it surprise you on an invoice. Most stores that outgrow the allowance are also good candidates for the Zoho One bundle, which covers every Zoho app under a single monthly plan. We would rather move you onto the right plan than quietly bill you more each month.

How long does it take to launch a store?

A straightforward store with a clean catalog usually goes live in four to six weeks. Migrations, large catalogs, and custom integrations take longer, and the extra time is almost always product data cleanup rather than build work. We give you a schedule after the first consultation, once we have seen your product data and know what shape it is in.

Do you handle SEO for the store?

We set the technical foundations: product and category metadata, structured data, clean URLs, sitemaps, and analytics tracking. That is what makes a store crawlable and measurable from day one. Ongoing content and link building is a separate engagement, and we will say so rather than imply that a technically sound store will rank on its own.

What if something breaks outside business hours?

Checkout availability and payment gateway health are monitored, so we usually find out before a customer emails you. Anything that stops orders getting through is treated as urgent. Routine requests, catalog changes, and new promotions run on normal business hours, and you can reach us by phone, SMS, or email using the details on this page.
