A Greenhouse Alternative Where The Price Is Written Down

Greenhouse names three plans, Core, Plus and Pro, and attaches a number to none of them. Their own pricing FAQ says the cost depends on the plan you pick, your hiring volume and how complicated your organization is. Managed Zoho Recruit is seven hundred a month, one tier, published, and the person who configures the hiring process is already inside the figure.

With Cascadia you get

  • We configure your real process
  • Candidates who actually hear back
  • Job boards that stay current
  • Screening you can defend
  • Your account, your data
  • Connected to the rest of Zoho

The short version

Why teams pick Cascadia over Greenhouse

We are for the case where nobody has time to own how the hiring process works. Where that person exists and has the hours, Greenhouse is very likely the better buy and we will tell you so.

What you get here

  • The pipeline stages, the scorecards and the job templates designed around how you hire before the first requisition opens
  • Offer approvals, candidate notifications and scheduling rules built to match how your hiring actually moves
  • Somebody revisiting the stages, the permissions and the automations each month as the org chart changes
  • Role based access set up so each hiring manager sees the candidates they should and nothing beyond them
  • A named person who already knows your hiring flow and picks up requisition changes within two business days
  • One hiring process built properly once, not five department variants nobody has ever reconciled
  • One monthly figure, published before you call, that does not move with your hiring volume
  • The wiring into your CRM, your onboarding and your people records done as part of the service

What ships in the standard plan here

A capable hiring platform with three plans, no published price on any of them, and the work of shaping it around how you hire left with whoever on your team has the hours.

  • Offer approvals, candidate notifications and scheduling rules built to match how your hiring actually moves

  • Being told plainly that a shared inbox still covers it while you are hiring two people a year
  • Reporting built around the roles you are actually filling rather than a dashboard nobody has configured

Where a price nobody will quote you stops being the hardest part of this

Zoho Recruit shaped around the way you actually hire, with the pipelines, the screening, the career site and the offer flow ours to configure and ours to keep working, at one published figure.

One tier, so there is no plan above this one to be sold to you later

Seven hundred a month is the whole of it, and it is printed on this page rather than quoted after a call. There is nothing above it we can move you onto and nothing held back on a tier you have not bought.

The people who configured your hiring are the people who answer about it later

You are not routed to a support queue that has never seen your hiring process, and there is no separate statement of work to sign before anybody will change a stage.

Who this comparison is for

Every plan ends at a demo request rather than a number

Core, Plus and Pro are laid out feature by feature, in a comparison table running to more than fifty rows. Under all three sits the same button, and it asks for a demo.

Core is a real product, and fifteen things you might assume are in it are not

Texting, email automation, talent discovery, contact lookups, featured internal job posts, multi brand job boards, auto reject and auto advance, dependent offer fields, dependent custom fields, automated user management, API only job custom fields, AI report filters, the BI Connector, fraud detection and CLEAR identity verification all sit on Plus or above.

Asked who sets the hiring process up, the answer is you

Greenhouse sells structured hiring and it means it. Scorecards, interview kits, stage transitions and offer approvals are all there, and the product is unusually opinionated about how they ought to be used.

How switching works

  1. 1

Nothing gets configured until we have followed a real hire end to end

We sit with the hiring managers and whoever reports on headcount afterward, and we write down what actually happens to a candidate rather than what the hiring policy assumed was happening.

  2. 2

Open roles and live candidates move across and get checked before anybody works in them

The open roles, the candidates already in play, the talent pool people actually go back to and the notes behind them.

  3. 3

The pipelines and the offer approvals get built for your business rather than left at defaults

A default pipeline produces a report nobody trusts. We build the stages, the scorecards and the routing around how you actually decide, so the reporting answers a question somebody was already asking.

  4. 4

You run a full month on it, including a real requisition and a real offer

The first month of live hiring runs with us alongside it. Whatever routes wrong on the first offer gets fixed while everybody still remembers the candidate behind it.

Greenhouse alternative questions

Straight answers about switching, pricing, and what moves with you.

See Managed Zoho Recruit
What is a Greenhouse alternative?

Anything that tracks applicants through a hiring process without being Greenhouse. On this hub that means Workable, Lever, iCIMS and Zoho Recruit. The useful question is not which platform has the longer feature list, because at this end of the market they will all move a candidate through stages and send a rejection. It is who configures the thing, who owns it afterward, and what the whole arrangement actually costs.

How is Cascadia different from Greenhouse?

Greenhouse sells the platform and expects you to bring the person who shapes it. We sell one arrangement. The seven hundred covers the pipelines, the scorecards, the offer approvals, the permissions, the reporting and the integrations, and the people who configured it are the people who answer when you call. Greenhouse is the better structured hiring product of the two and we will say so plainly. It is also the one where the setting up stays with you.

Is Greenhouse cheaper than this?

There is no public figure to compare, so the honest answer is that nobody outside Greenhouse knows. That is not a criticism of the product, and plenty of good software is sold this way. It does mean you cannot set the two side by side until you have sat through a demo, and it means the number you are eventually quoted moves with how much you hire. Ours is the same seven hundred whether you hire two people this year or forty.

What is not included in the seven hundred?

Your Zoho licenses, which Zoho bills to you directly at their published rates, and the work of deciding who you want to hire and what good looks like in the role, which stays with the people doing the hiring. Everything involved in turning those decisions into a working hiring process and keeping it working is inside the figure.

Why not just use Greenhouse and configure it ourselves?

If your hiring is straightforward and somebody is willing to own it, do exactly that. Greenhouse is opinionated in a useful way and a capable recruiter can get a long way inside it. The reason people stop is not that Greenhouse failed them. It is that the person who configured it moved on, and nobody inherited it.

Should we buy this at all?

Often not, and finding that out now is far cheaper than finding it out in month four. If you hire two people a year and everybody already knows how it works, seven hundred a month of hiring management is a solution looking for a problem. We would rather say so on the first call.

Do we have to migrate everything at once?

No. The open requisitions, the candidates in play and the reports built on them move first, because those are what the team is actually working from. Closed roles and older applicants follow once the live process is settled. Splitting it that way means nobody waits on a full migration before they can get on with hiring.

Does anything break while you take over?

Nobody stops hiring and nothing goes dark. Your existing Greenhouse pipelines stay exactly where they are until the new one has run a full month with nothing falling through it. Cutting over is a decision you make once you have watched it work, not a date we impose on you.

What if we already run Greenhouse and want to move?

It is a common route here and the export itself is straightforward. Where it gets fiddly is deciding which of the existing stages, scorecards and custom fields are worth carrying over, because most companies accumulate a few nobody remembers creating. We work that out before anybody commits to anything, so the tidying up is known rather than discovered.

Do you own the system or the data?

No to both, and the arrangement is deliberately dull. The Zoho account is in your name, the hiring data and every candidate record in it are yours, and if you stop working with us you keep the lot and carry on. Nothing about leaving is designed to be awkward.

What exactly is included?

One flat figure with nothing metered behind it. Seven hundred a month covers the pipelines and stages, the career site and job board publishing, the screening and the scorecards, the offer approvals, the permissions, the reporting, and the integrations with the rest of your Zoho apps.

Do you guarantee the implementation will go to plan?

No, and be wary of anybody who does. A migration meets candidate records nobody has looked at properly in years, and a first month of live hiring usually turns up two kinds of exception the business had never named. What we will commit to is that those surprises are ours to absorb rather than yours to be invoiced for.

What does the monthly report actually contain?

Which roles moved, which candidates are stuck and at which stage, and what took longest, alongside anything we changed in the rules and anything odd enough to be worth mentioning. It is a page rather than a deck, and it is written so somebody who never opens the system can still tell how the hiring is going.

How long before we see a difference?

Four to eight weeks to a full month running cleanly in most cases, and longer where years of ad hoc spreadsheets and stage names have to be sorted out first. The honest variable is not our speed, it is how quickly somebody can tell us what ought to happen to a candidate nobody has decided about before.

What if we want to leave?

Thirty days’ notice ends it and nothing is stranded. The Zoho account stays in your name, the pipelines and the candidate records stay exactly as they are, and the documentation comes with you. There is no exit fee and no data to pry out of us, because it was never ours to hold.
